The Shooter Another year has come and gone. Its now time to update the membership on what is going on. Every year we try to put something new or replace a piece of equipment. This year we chose the water system. All new pipes from the well up to the toilet have been replaced. The total bill for this expense was over $2400. If it was not for the support we get on Sunday’s and our membership we couldn’t do this. As of this writing we now have 263 members on the rolls. Just like in any other club the more people the more problems. In other newsletters, the board has ask for those using the range to please pick up there spent ammo. This request has fallen on deaf ears. We are going to put a concerted effort in finding out which members are not doing there part to keep the place clean. If you are caught expect your membership to be terminated. No second chances. We provide barrels to put trash in them. Also these barrels are not to be used as targets. It only takes a few people to ruin it for the other members. We still would like to see more skeet shooters on Sunday. Maybe someone would like to start a league? There is a possibility we may have to increase our price for shooting skeet. We haven’t got the new shipment in yet but like everything else it’s more money than last year. We have kept our due at an affordable price of $15 for renewal and any new member $25. Past members who didn’t pay dues will have to rejoin for the $25. Dues will be accepted starting the 1st Sunday in November until the last Sunday in January. The response was very good (last year). We didn’t have to many members to chase down. Like last year $15 up to last week in January. After that it will be $20. The annual meeting will be the second Sunday in January(Jan13th). This will be your official notice as we will not put it in the paper. The meeting will start at 10:00 AM SHARP. The annual picnic went very well under the leadership of MOUSE. He does a very good job getting all the prizes that we raffle off. The date for this years event will be posted on club bulletin board. We are also going to try a wild game party on Sunday December 16th. We are already receiving donations for this event. Our President Ernie Smith will be the head chef that day. Once again pay your dues early. The best way is to send them to our P.O. BOX 648 DUNKIRK, NY 14048. Till next year have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a safe hunting season.
